Offshore staff

ABERDEEN, UK -- Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Co. Ltd. has contracted BJ Services Co. to provide cementing services offshore Nigeria.

The multi-million-dollar contract will support operations on the Bonga Main and Bonga SW fields. BJ has begun operations on Bonga Main, working from Transocean Inc.'sSedco 709 semisubmersible in depths to 1,981 m (6,500 ft). Services on Bonga SW are scheduled to begin in late 2007. Services from two additional rigs will also be carried out in late 2009 and early 2010.

Currently, BJ supports this operation from its base in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
