ABERDEEN, UK --Supply chain consultancy Nexus has won extensions to contracts from Shell and BP with a total value of $6.044 million.
Nexus provides quality assurance services for these companies in Europe and the Gulf of Mexico, using its internet-based software system. The Equipment State of Requirements process constantly communicates equipment needs between operators and suppliers. It also allows users to define their requirements for drilling and completions kit online, and to interact with their suppliers throughout the design and manufacturing process.
Shell's contract relates to all the company's wells on the UK continental shelf. Recently, Nexus also established a base in Kazakhstan to service clients in this region.
