TYNE & WEAR, UK -- CMP Products plans to open a new office in Perth, Australia. The UK-based company, which manufactures cable gland and cable connectors, adds the Australian base to its operations in Dubai, Houston, Shanghai, and Singapore. It also has recently opened an office in Pusan, South Korea
"With the time and logistical differences, it is very difficult to cover the Australian market effectively from the UK," says David O'Brien, CMP's GM for Australia. "The market requires a high level of support on the ground. By establishing a base in Perth, CMP Products now has the ideal network of offices to target all the major oil and gas markets."
