LANCING, UK --Norway's Supreme Court has turned down a request by Hydro and Corrocean to resume court proceedings against UK monitoring technology company Cormon.

This summer, Norway's Appeal Court ruled that Cormon had not infringed Hydro and Corrocean's sand quantification patent. According to Cormon, that verdict supported the opinion of the European Patent Office and the UK Patent Office that use of electrical resistance techniques to measure erosion was not novel at the time of the Norwegian filing.

Both Norwegian parties are liable for legal costs incurred by Cormon.
