Ulstein Group has signed a letter of intent to acquire a majority stake in Sea of Solutions.

VLAARDINGEN, The Netherlands --Ulstein Group has signed a letter of intent to acquire a majority stake in Sea of Solutions.
The Dutch company designs offshore vessels for drilling, pipelay, and heavy-lift operations, mainly for deepwater application. It was established in 2001 and currently has 12 employees.
Ulstein Group was formed 90 years ago and has around 700 staff in seven countries. One of its latest innovations is the Ulstein X-Bow hull form.
"We both operate in the offshore segment," says Sea of Solutions' Bob Rietveldt, "and have acquired major know-how in our respective fields of offshore expertise. Consequently we can learn much from each other."
