Offshore staff

SINGAPORE -- Swiber Holdings Ltd. has worked out a financing package with R.S. Platou Finans Shipping A.S. for five of its new offshore support vessels.

The deal raises $95 million covering sale and leaseback of one pipelay barge, two anchor handling and towing units, and two anchor-handling towing and supply (AHTS) units.

Swiber will take delivery of theSwiber Concorde pipelay barge next July. The AHTs, Swiber Valiant and Swiber Gallant, are scheduled for delivery in Nov. 2007. The AHTSs, Swiber Sandefjord and Swiber Oslo, are to be completed and delivered in July and Aug. 2009.
