LARNACA, Cyprus --Prosafe is to divide its operations among two newly listed companies, one focusing on accommodation and service rigs, the other on floating production.
Following a two-month evaluation exercise, the board concluded that both companies would have the resources and financial capacity to develop and grow in line with previously stated aims. The split and listing process should be completed during spring 2008.
An existing customer, Total E&P UK/Elf Exploration UK, has decided to extend a firm contract for the accommodation flotelSafe Caledonia to three years. The value of the extension is $55 million.
