National Oilwell offers $7 billion for Grant Prideco

National Oilwell Varco Inc. has agreed to buy Grant Prideco Inc. for about $7.37 billion in cash and stock.

HOUSTON –National Oilwell Varco Inc. has agreed to buy Grant Prideco Inc. for about $7.37 billion in cash and stock.

The agreement is pending shareholder and regulatory agency approvals.
