ABERDEEN, UK -- TWMA has acquired Bergen-based Soilcare AS for $6 million.

"Soilcare, in combination with our well established UK activities, will give us an important share of the North Sea market and will also allow us to offer the TCC-RotoMill for offshore treatment of cuttings, an application widely used in the UK sector but not yet in Norway," says Ronnie Garrick, managing director of TWMA.

"TWMA's market leading technologies are field-proven and are the most cost-effective and environmentally sound way to dispose of drill cuttings," he says.

TWMA will establish a center for handling of drill cuttings and other hydrocarbon waste at Solicare's Mongstad supply base. The company says it will retain all Soilcare staff.
