KANSAS CITY, Missouri -- PAS Technologies has entered into a multi-year agreement with Cameron Romania to provide a turnkey on-site facility for industrial coating and finishing of oilfield components. The agreement includes plans for PAS Technologies to establish a facility within the Cameron Romania complex in Campina, Romania.
The new entity will be known as PAS Technologies Romania Ltd. The on-site plant will supply industrial coating and finishing for gate valve components manufactured in the Cameron Romania operations.
PAS Technologies will facilitate and operate the coatings facility for start up in 2008. The on-site facility concept enables PAS Technologies to provide a lean manufacturing environment that minimizes turn-times, reduces waste, and increases productivity for Cameron by eliminating the need for outsourcing these processes.
"Combining quality and industry-leading technology expertise with faster turnaround times for customers throughout this region is the mission of PAS Technologies," says Jim Andrews, VP of acquisitions and ventures for PAS Technologies Inc. "This move is in line with our strategy to establish operations and ventures to support our customers in all regions of the globe."
