DAVIS, California -- Schilling Robotics will supply Allseas Group SA with three ultra-heavy-duty ROV systems in late 2008. Allseas will use the systems to perform survey support, pipeline touchdown monitoring, and construction support tasks.

The ROVs feature 150 shp and are rated for operation in up to 4,000 m (13,123ft) water depth. The systems include Schilling Robotics extended-excursion XE TMS systems, two of which have 850-m (2,788-ft) tethers and independent propulsion systems.

Features for survey and pipeline inspection include camera booms and profilers that pop up from the vehicle's rear for deployment. Schilling's standard AutoTrack utility allows survey coordinates to control vehicle movement, aiding survey operations.

Schilling Robotics was selected by Allseas to exclusively supply ROV technology for use on Allseas' vessels. The three new UHD systems will join four others delivered in 2007 and early 2008.
