Valiant raises cash for drilling

Valiant Petroleum has raised a further £20 million ($40 million) for appraisal and development drilling on its UK North Sea fields.

WOKING, UK --Valiant Petroleum has raised a further £20 million ($40 million) for appraisal and development drilling on its UK North Sea fields.

The company, formed in 2004, has interests in Causeway, Crawford, Don South West, and Don, all close together in the northern part of the North Sea, and all close to production infrastructure.

Valiant is participating in a four-well appraisal campaign on Causeway, operated by Antrim Energy, and expects another appraisal well on Don South West to spud later this year.
