GE Energy submits offer for Sondex

The Board of Sondex Plc has received an acquisition offer from GE Energy, says Martin Perry, Sondex CEO.

LONDONThe Board of Sondex Plc has received an acquisition offer from GE Energy, says Martin Perry, Sondex CEO.

GE's cash offer is £289 million ($582 million). If approved, Sondex team would remain in place and be part of a new unit in the Optimization and Control business of GE Energy.

Sondex designs, manufactures, and sells downhole equipment for optimizing the production of hydrocarbons from mature oil and gas fields.
