HB Rentals scores deal with BG in Trinidad

ABERDEEN, UK -- BG Group has contracted with HB Rentals for two high-specification living complexes for the Dolphin platform in Trinidad's developing East Coast Marine Area production zone.
Four linkable 12-man sleeper units, along with a pair of fully customizable 20 ft x 8 ft (6.1 m x 2.4 m) engineering cabins, already have been installed on the Dolphin platform.
The 48-man facility will remain onboard until a second larger complex is delivered in November, when the 48-man facility will be decommissioned and shipped to HBR's Trinidad fleet base. The two-year contract has an option for extension.
The second, larger complex is a fully self-contained living quarters package comprising the main support grillage, six 12-bed sleeping modules, a galley diner, recreation facility, office space, laundry, medical facility, and a gymnasium.
A fully-compliant CAP 437 helideck and support structure also will be installed on the 25-module complex, along with external walkways, landings, handrails, and ancillary equipment for interface with the platform systems.
