HOUSTON –Transocean Inc. and GlobalSanteFe Corp. shareholders today approved the proposed merger of the companies.
The proposed transaction that would merge GlobalSantaFe with a wholly owned subsidiary of Transocean is expected by year-end, pending regulatory approval and other closing conditions.
