BJ Tubular Services secures West Africa work

ABERDEEN, Scotland -- CNR International has contracted BJ Tubular Services to provide a range of well services offshore Cote d'Ivoire, Africa. The 12-month contract provides for casing and tubing running, completion assembly, and onshore bucking services for five well workovers and one new well on CNR's Baobab and Espoir fields.
BJ Tubular Services says it plans to begin work in January 2008 with all related services provided by the company's personnel and equipment in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. The scope of work includes running chrome tubular completions from the semisubmersible rigHomer Ferrington in water depths to 4,000 ft (1,219 m).
The company says its crews will use its full Chromemaster minimal marking non-ferrous tubular handling package, which features the PS21 Flush-mounted Spider system with Chromemaster slips, Chromemaster power tongs, specially modified screen liner running tongs, Loadmaster single joint compensator system, and the Dopemaster pipe compound applicator.
"We have been working for CNR in Cote d'Ivoire since 2003, and are very happy to once again have the opportunity to provide them with safe and efficient well services in the region," says Kenny Watt, division manager of BJ Tubular Services.
