PARIS --Technip expects to take delivery next year of a new diving support vessel dedicated to Norwegian North Sea operations.

Recently, the company received another new DSV, theSkandi Achiever, which it has taken for UK North Sea activities under an eight-year charter. This and the Seamec Princess, a vessel converted for shallow-water Indian projects, have swelled the company's global fleet to 16 vessels.

In Le Trait, northern France, the company plans to install a new 800 ton (726 metric ton) capacity crane in 2009 for loading consignments of flexible pipes onto vessels. It is also working on plans to develop a new flexible manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia by 2010.
