KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- PennWell's second annual Offshore Asia Conference & Exhibition, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, attracted over 2,200 participants. Attendance this year was three times that of the first Offshore Asia conference held in Kuala Lumpur in 2005.

And next year looks like it will be even more successful. Many participants in the exhibition portion of the conference have expanded their space for next year. The 2008 exhibition is expected to be twice the size of 2007.

The reputation of Offshore Asia is drawing international interest to Malaysia. According to participant and speaker Frank Lim of 2H Offshore Engineering, Ltd., "Offshore Asia is becoming the premier deepwater conference in the area, judging from the attendance and quality of the presentations."

Offshore Asia will be held next year at the KLCC Conference Center in Kuala Lumpur January 15-17. For information about the conference and exhibition, visit www.offshoreasiaevent .com.
