ABERDEEN, UK --Ferguson Modular Ltd. today announced a major £1million ($1.963 million) contract award from Woodside Energy Ltd.

The contract, for the supply of a multi-module accommodation complex for the Angel project on Australia's North West Shelf, comprises of the rental of six eight-man accommodation modules plus an office and a medic module, and the purchase of a galley and a food store module. The units will be linked and stacked to form a complex capable of sleeping up to 48 persons on the normally unmanned fixed gas processing platform.

The Angel development area lies approximately 130 km (80 mi) offshore. The complete project will include installation of a third major offshore production platform off the North West Shelf and associated infrastructure, including a new 50 km (31 mi) subsea pipeline tie back to the North Rankin A platform from Angel which will underpin the North West Shelf Venture's current gas contracts and future sales.

This is the fourth major contract awarded to Ferguson Modular this year bringing the total value of orders placed during Q1 2007 to over £3million ($5.9 million).

"With an increase in upgrade and maintenance work now being carried out both in the North Sea and internationally, there has been a high level of demand for additional bed and workspace, both on a temporary and permanent basis and as a result we are investing heavily in new technologies and equipment for our global hire fleet," says Mike McKay, divisional manager – Manufacturing.
