BJ snaps up Norson subsea services

ABERDEN, UK --Norson Group has sold its process, pipeline, and umbilical business to BJ Process and Pipeline Services for an undisclosed sum.
Norson Services is a UK supplier of remote subsea pigging and flooding technogy, subsea hydrotesting and data logging, and umbilical testing.
Demand for these services is being driven by the increased number of floating oil production facilities, BJ says.
Norson Group will focus on its hydraulic service division, Norson Power, which provides systems and personnel to the North Sea, Caspian, and West Africa.
