Subsea 7 opens KL branch

Subsea 7 has established a new Asia Pacific office in Kuala Lumpur.

KUALA LUMPUR -- Subsea 7 has established a new Asia Pacific office in Kuala Lumpur. The office will initially accommodate 32 of the company’s personnel, including its regional management team.

Subsea 7 will maintain its project management and engineering capabilities in Singapore and Perth.

The company has also announced two new appointments to coincide with the expansion. Dick Martin is Vice President of Business Development for the Asia Pacific region, based in Perth, while Stuart Cameron is Commercial Director for the Asia Pacific region, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Martin was previously Subsea 7’s Vice President for Life-of-Field services based in Aberdeen. Cameron, currently Commercial Director of the North America region, will start his new role next month.

Subsea 7 will bring in its Skandi Seven pipelay and construction vessel to join the DSV Rockwater 2 in supporting Asia-Pacific/Australasia operations.
