Chevron contracts M-I for work offshore Angola

Chevron subsidiary Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. Ltd. has awarded M-I SWACO a multi-services contract for drilling and completion fluids, drilling waste management, filtration, wellbore clean up tools, vessel cleaning, and related services.

HOUSTON -- Chevron subsidiary Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. Ltd. has awarded M-I SWACO a multi-services contract for drilling and completion fluids, drilling waste management, filtration, wellbore clean up tools, vessel cleaning, and related services.

The assignment calls for the routine service of six to 10 drilling rigs offshore Cabinda, Angola, in shallow-water block 0 and in deepwater block 14.

The six-year agreement, with an option for two additional years, begins this June. It is expected to result in about $800 million in revenues to the contractor over the life of the contract.
