BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, UK -- C-MAC MicroTechnology has enhanced its test house facility in Great Yarmouth, UK.
The enhancements include a cold storage facility for testing instruments to -85° C (-121° F). The internal volume of the chamber is 800 x 650 x 950 mm (17.45 cu ft), and this extends the test steady-state hot and cold storage capability from -85 ºC (-121 °F) to +300 ºC (572 °F).
A new vibration system allows electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components, and products to be tested. The system extends the static load capacity to 500 kg (1,102 lb).
The test house’s accreditation has been extended to include EIA-364, particularly important for companies providing electrical connectors for applications in harsh environments.
