ASCO branches out into Oman

Oil and gas field logistics specialists ASCO Group has opened its new Middle East business venture, based in Oman.

MUSCAT, Oman -- Oil and gas field logistics specialists ASCO Group has opened its new Middle East business venture, based in Oman.

ASCO EMEA CEO Derek Smith said: “Locating in the Middle East builds on ASCO’s global expansion plans. We will have our Middle East hub in Muscat and this will service operation in Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, and UAE.”

Recently the company announced it would open an Arctic base in Norway later this year under a joint venture with Tschudi Shipping. It also recently launched a JV with OWS in India to create OWS ASCO to capitalize on growing oil and gas opportunities in the Indian marketplace.

ASCO currently manages 20 logistics operations worldwide in the US, Canada, Trinidad, Caspian, UK, Holland, Singapore, India, and now the Middle East.
