OSLO -- The Norwegian energy ministry has awarded RWE Dea interests in exploration licenses PL552 and PL539.
License PL552 is on the eastern boundary of the Snorre/Tordis/Vigdis fields and borders an area covered by license PL089, in which RWE Dea Norge also holds a stake. The work program for the new license requires drilling of one well within the next two years.
License PL539 is in block 3/7 near the border of Denmark. RWE and its license partners will carry out a 250-sq km (97 sq mi) survey over the area.
