SNEEK, Netherlands -- The Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group plans to build a new factory in Brazil to produce deepwater mooring ropes.
This follows the company’s acquisition of an industrial plot of land in Rio de Janeiro. The new facility will also assemble maritime ropes for the local market, and eventually buoyancy materials for the oil and gas sector.
The new facility, which will measure around 5,000 sq m (53,820 sq ft), is in the Queimados industrial area in an 18,000-sq m (193,750-sq ft) property, with access to the ports of Rio de Janeiro and Sepetiba.
