Dockwise builds transportation backlog

Dockwise Shipping has won new contracts totaling around $20 million in value to transport drilling rigs to Australia and Rotterdam.

BREDA, The Netherlands -- Dockwise Shipping has won new contracts totaling around $20 million in value to transport drilling rigs to Australia and Rotterdam. Much of the work should be completed during the first half of this year.

The company also has a letter of award to transport and install a large offshore production platform in the Far East in 2012, under a $45 million contract.

Dockwise has further floatover assignments pending relating to Thailand’s offshore Bongkot project (2011), Total’s Ofon Phase 2 offshore Nigeria (2012), and Vyborg for the Shtokman project in the Barents Sea (2010 and 2011).
