(Aberdeen) Contaminated water returns on Amerada Hess' Triton FPSO in the North Sea have been successfully treated during well clean-up operations. Cetco Oilfield Services undertook work on three Bittern field wells served by the floater, using a Crudesep 4000 skid and an RFV4000 skid housing Crudesorb media, both sets of equipment being designed to reduce dispersed and dissolved hydrocarbons.

Cetco's brief was to perform water clean-up operations during flowbacks from several well scale squeezes and acidization. The contract value was around £300,000.
