Offshore staff

(North Africa) - BJ Tubular Services has been awarded a contract by Compagnie Des Petroles Total Libye (CPTL) to provide a range of services on a number of wells located offshore Libya.

In addition to hammer conductor-driving services, BJ will also be supplying conductor cold-cutting services.

Services for CPTL will be provided by BJ Tubular Services on BD1 platform for five slots on Aljurf Field, located offshore Libya.

The contract is being carried out from its operations base in Tripoli, Libya, with specialist equipment from the division's base in Den Helder, Holland, and personnel based in Great Yarmouth, England.

BJ Tubular Services will use Zone 1 cold-cutting equipment and its state-of-the-art S90 Hydrohammer hydraulic pile driving system to drive conductors in order to create solid foundations for new wells.
