Statoil issues long-term drilling awards

Statoil has contracted Aker Kvaerner, Schlumberger and Welltec to handle its upcoming logging/well service requirements

(Stavanger) Statoil has awarded three-year contracts for drilling and well services with a total value of NOK 855 m. All will cover the company's entire operations across the Norwegian shelf, with two options for two-year extensions.

Schlumberger will provide logging and sample-taking in open wells, production logging and perforation by cable. Aker Kvaerner will supply well tractor equipment and personnel for the Statfjord field and the Halten/Nordland area, while Welltec will provide similar services for Troll/Sleipner and the Tampen area, excluding Statfjord.
