Atlas Copco acquires Focus Rocbit, Prisma Roctools

Atlas Copco (India) has exercised an option to buy the remaining 75% of shares in Focus Rocbit and Prisma Roctools.

STOCKHOLM -- Atlas Copco (India) has exercised an option to buy the remaining 75% of shares in Focus Rocbit and Prisma Roctools.

Atlas Copco acquired 25% of the companies in April 2008. Focus is a manufacturer of bits for rotary drilling and Prisma makes bits and hammers for downhole drilling.

The companies have been integrated within Atlas Copco's Secoroc division.
