Offshore staff
PERTH -- INPEX has awarded AMEC a FEED contract for the development of the Ichthys field, offshore Western Australia.
The contract includes FEED for the offshore gas and condensate production facilities and an 850-km (528-mi) export pipeline to the Ichthys LNG plant in Darwin.
AMEC will be responsible for providing project management, engineering, and other resources necessary to produce the FEED for a large semisubmersible gas production facility, an FPSO, umbilicals, risers and flowlines (URF), and a gas export pipeline.
INPEX anticipates that the gas production facilities will be in operation for at least 40 years.
