HOUSTON -- Brazilian national oil company Petrobras will likely tender its remaining 28 newbuild floaters as early as May, according to a research note Thursday from Pritchard Capital Partners.

Petrobras previously announced it would tender 40 new rigs and platforms to local shipyards. Of these, 28 remain untendered, although Petrobras has stated that the delay will not impact drilling and production schedules.

Delivery of the 28 is seen for 2017.
