Hamworthy acquires Abiel technology and products business unit

LONDON -- Hamworthy has signed an agreement to acquire Aibel’s technology and products business unit.

The technology and products business provides separation technologies. Its primary products are related to vessel internal electrostatic coalescers, hydrocarbon blanketing systems on FPSOs, flare gas ignition systems, and flare gas recovery systems.

The deal is expected to be complete by the third quarter following approvals by the Norwegian competition authorities.
