Aker Solutions to construct Draugen field water re-injection system

Shell has awarded Aker Solutions a $34-million engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract for a produced water re-injection system on the Draugen field in the North Sea.

HOUSTON -- Shell has awarded Aker Solutions a $34-million engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract for a produced water re-injection system on the Draugen field in the North Sea. Aker Solutions’ scope of work also includes prefabrication and commissioning assistance.

The contract is a call-off from an existing modifications and maintenance support contract. Work will start immediately and is scheduled for completion in January 2012.
