DUBAI, UAE -- Drydocks World - Southeast Asia (DDW-SEA) has opened a training center in Batam, Indonesia.

The new facility can train up to 200 people and offers programs in all disciplines associated with ship/offshore building, repair, and conversion. It is located between the Drydocks World Graha and Pertama yards and will provide training services to all three of Drydocks World’s shipyards on Batam Island, Indonesia, the company says.

“The training center is an integral part of our continuing commitment to the Batam shipping industry, and a strategic move to increase the ratio of direct employees against our existing subcontractors,” says Mark Biggs, MD of DDW-SEA. “This training center is perfectly aligned with our key policy of attracting and retaining the best people available.”
