Saudi Aramco makes Arabian Gulf discoveries

Saudi Aramco has discovered oil with the Jereed 101 well in the Arabian Gulf.

RIYADH -- Saudi Aramco has discovered oil with the Jereed 101 well in the Arabian Gulf. The well currently is producing 450 b/d of oil, according to the Kuwait News Agency.

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali al-Naimi also reports that three new gas fields were discovered in the Arabian Gulf. The Arabiya-1, Rebeeb-1, and Habah 16 have a production rate of 1.41 MMcf/d, 6.4 MMcf/d, and 1.62 MMcf/d, respectively.
