ABERDEEN -- Plexus Holdings is constructing a new assembly and test facility at its premises in Aberdeen. The additional building has been specifically designed to allow more efficient handling, assembly, and testing of the company’s POS-GRIP high pressure/high temperature (HP/HT) wellhead systems, the company says.
The facility will provide 4,000 sq ft (372 sq m) of additional workshop area for Plexus’ operational premises and will include 50-metric-ton (55-ton) and 25-metric-ton (28-ton) overhead cranes and a test pit to enable the function and pressure testing of larger HP/HT and X-HP/HT wellhead and equipment assemblies.
Building completion is targeted for January 2010, the company says.
