PTT Exploration and Production Public Co. has awarded CUEL Ltd. a $110 million contract for the Arthit 1C WHP project in the Gulf of Thailand.

BANGKOK -- PTT Exploration and Production Public Co. has awarded CUEL Ltd. a $110 million contract for the Arthit 1C WHP project in the Gulf of Thailand.
The project scope includes project management; engineering; procurement; construction; load-out and sea fastening; transportation; offshore installation and tie-in; offshore commissioning; and brownfield modification of four wellhead platforms and four pipelines. The company will also lay 31.4 km (19.5 mi) of new pipelines in water depths of approximately 80 m (262 ft).
The project will be executed at the company's Bangkok office and construction yard at Laem Chabang, Thailand. The offshore Installation activities for both platforms and pipelines will be performed by the derrick lay bargeSwiber Chai.
The Engineering activities have already begun and the project is scheduled for completion in July 2010.
