Rio Oil & Gas 2012: Tenaris introduces TenarisHydril BlueDock connectors

RIO DE JANEIRO– Tenaris has extended its range of TenarisHydril premium connection products to include BlueDock connectors, which are designed to operate in offshore and HP/HT environments.
BlueDock connectors draw on TenarisHydril’s proprietary connection design and experience of welding and pipe manufacturing. The new product is available with a metal-to-metal seal especially for high-pressure gas applications (outside diameter of 20-22 in.) and an elastomeric seal throughout the range, which extends 20-36 in.
Features include:
- 100% rating in tension, compression, and bending
- Sealability verified by tests based on ISO 13679 standards
- Up to three anti-rotational keys that prevent buck-off and provide additional support
- High-fatigue performance under bending and/or tension-compression loads.
