Pioneer completes sale of operations offshore South Africa

DALLAS –Pioneer Natural Resources Co. (NYSE:PXD) says it has completed the sale of its South African holdings to the Petroleum Oil and Gas Corp. of South Africa (SOC) Ltd. for $52 million.
The previously announced transaction was effective on Jan. 1, 2012.
Pioneer was active in the area for several years.
