Shell extends southern North Sea service arrangement
Shell has awarded the AJS joint venture of AMEC, Jacobs, and Stork an extension of its integrated services contract in the southern North Sea.
The five-year extension, with options for an additional five years, covers the Shell ONEgas facilities in the UK and Dutch sectors held by Shell UK Exploration & Production and Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM).
They consist of 54 offshore assets, the Bacton gas plant on the English east coast, and the NAM-operated gas plant in Den Helder, the Netherlands. AJS employs around 1,250 staff performing maintenance, modifications, and capital projects for the facilities.
Its initial contract with Shell started in 2003.
