HOUSTON – Simmons & Co. International Ltd recently won a large oilfield services deal in the Middle East. The corporate finance advisors played a role in the acquisition of National Petroleum Services (NPS) by a consortium of investors led by the sovereign-backed investment firm Fajr Capital. The deal is valued in excess of $500 million and is believed to be the biggest oil services M&A transaction in the Middle East to date.
TheGulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-based consortium, led by Fajr Capital, includes Arab Petroleum Investments Corp. (APICORP) and other regional institutional investors.
