LONDON – AMEC won a contract renewal with Kuwait Oil Co. for project management consultancy services at a number of the Middle Eastern operator’s upstream projects in Kuwait.
The contract extension is worth 117 million Kuwaiti dinars, or about $415 million. The five-year call-off contract followstwo previous five-year agreements between the companies.
Under the new contract, AMEC will continue to provide services such as front-end engineering design, project management consultancy, engineering, construction management, and training of local engineers.
AMEC’s team of around 250 engineers in Kuwait will manage the work, with FEED execution from the company’s London design office.
