Lloyd's Register Americas has acquired Martec, an engineering firm based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

LONDON -- Lloyd's Register Americas has acquired Martec, an engineering firm based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Martec specializes in developing advanced engineering simulation technology for the design and analysis of complex structures and systems.

Martec's activities will be part of Lloyd's Register Group's marine consultancy services, and will be coordinated by Claus Myllerup, senior VP and head of Lloyd's Register technical investigations & analysis.
