Aker Solutions opens Well Intervention Academy

OSLO -- Aker Solutions has opened a Well Intervention Academy in Stavanger, Norway. According to the company, the facility will give new generations of offshore operators and engineers first-hand experience in critical well intervention activities. The center consists of an intervention tower, two test wells, and intervention equipment.
The facility will offer Aker Solutions' staff and customers a wide range of courses from introduction to well intervention, to highly technical courses in the operation and maintenance of complex tools and services.
The Well Intervention Academy will also be used to test well intervention equipment that will contribute towards increased oil recovery.
