QuantaCAD update released at OTC

HOUSTON -- Quantapoint has released QuantaCAD 8.0 with software enhancements at the 2008 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston.

The new version enables facilities digitized with laser scanning to be shown as high-definition Laser Models and photo-realistic Laser Images.

Laser Models integrate the laser scan data to produce detailed, high-definition, 3D solid models of a facility. Quantapoint says Laser Models decrease remodeling time and clashes by 85% and reduce design time by 60%.

Laser Images are photo-realistic, panoramic images of laser scans from individual scanner locations. These 360-degree images can be panned and zoomed.
