ABERDEEN, Scotland -- Mass-flow excavation (MFE) specialists Rotech Subsea plans to open a base in Singapore. Regional manager Barry Silver will head the team.

The base also will service the Australian market, but there are plans to open a base in Perth, Western Australia, within the next 12 months if expected demand materializes.

Establishing an office in Singapore and storing three of its tools at the Loyang Offshore Supply Base will allow the company to respond to clients within hours rather than weeks, Rotech said.
