HOUSTON -- Anadarko and StatiolHydro have awarded an $8-million contract to Deepwater Specialists Inc. (DSI) for commissioning activities for two drilling and wellhead platforms to be used in the first phase of the development of the Peregrino field.
DSI will plan and execute all commissioning activities for wellhead platforms A and B in the field. The contract includes coordinating and managing the commissioning activities for the interfaces with the drilling modules that will be installed on the platforms.
Each platform comprises an eight-legged jacket structure, foundation piles, well slot conductors, deck structure, equipment and systems, wellhead decks, and cranes. Commissioning of the platform decks, which are being designed by Wood Group sister company Mustang Engineering, and the living quarters will be performed at fabrication yards in South Texas. The platforms will be installed in water depths of 312–443 ft (95–135 m) in Brazil's Campos basin.
