IADC presents service award

The International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) has presented Dominique Dupuis of Pride International with the 2008 Service Award for his contribution to the advancements in the drilling industry.

HOUSTON -- The International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) has presented Dominique Dupuis of Pride International with the 2008 Service Award for his contribution to the advancements in the drilling industry. The award was presented at the World Drilling Conference and Exhibition held in Berlin, Germany on June, 11, 2008.

Dominique Dupuis is head of drilling engineering at Pride International in France and VP at the Pride subsidiary, Horwell.

He worked for Forasol from 1977 - 1996, until Pride acquired Forasol-Foramer in 1997. Since then, Dupuis has held a number of positions at Pride. Dominique is a long-time member of the IADC/SPE Drilling Conference program committee, the IADC European Working Group, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He also teaches at the French Petroleum Institute.

For the past 20 years IADC has recognized leaders who have made a difference in the drilling industry. The IADC Service Award was designed to acknowledge those individuals that have made significant contributions to the industry over an extended period of time.
